It's 5 o'clock in the Morning...Granby Ranch Style

I have to say that I forget sometimes how fortunate I am to live in such a beautiful state.  Every now and again a moment comes along where I sit back in awe and soak it all in as the beauty unfolds around me.  And in that moment time seems to slow.

One morning while staying up at our condo in Granby, I stumbled upon such a moment.  I couldn't sleep and rather than fighting it I decided to embrace it by getting up, grabbing my camera, and heading out to see what I could find.  I hope you enjoy what I managed to capture.

After checking things out I hopped back in the car and ironically Katy Perry's song Wide Awake was playing on the radio.  Its funny how sometimes things just come together and all is right in the world.

Headed back I realized I wasn't alone, I also saw this little guy out for a morning stroll.

Have a wonderful weekend!

By the Light of a Sol Vista Moon

So the past few months I've put in a ton of overtime at my day job and with my birthday on the way I decided to treat myself by upgrading my camera body to the Nikon D7000.  To test it out I walked up to one of Sol Vista's ski runs and chose to shoot for the moon, literally. I really don't have much to say, so I figured I'd let the pictures speak for themselves.  Check it out and let me know what you think, would love to get your feedback so leave a comment.

Teva Mountain Games 2012

The great thing about having an active mountain bike racing studly husband is that I get to tag along and see a lot of cool things.  Prime example is the Teva Mountain Games in Vail, CO.  Not only did I get to see big names in mountain bike racing, but I also got to enjoy some impressive dock jumping pups. There were many other events going on that weekend, but unfortunately we didn't get to check out too much this year, but I guess this gives me something to look forward to next year. I hope you enjoy viewing some of the highlights from the games that I've posted.

Pro racer, Georgia Gould out of Ft. Collins, managed to grab the gold that day.

Team Cycleton represent.  J-man headed into the tunnel on lap 2, just one more to go! Go J, GO!

Tunnel vision...part of the race course is a winding climb up to a tunnel. Also makes for a nice shelter during a rain storm.

Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski (better known as JHK) coming in for the win!

JHK's wife Heather Irmiger also rocking it out there.  So cool to see a husband-wife team racing the same circuit.

Before and after the bike race I got to check out some acrobatics done by the  Dock Dogs. These dogs are awesome!

This one I call Super Dog!  This fearless little dog has one thing in mind...must get the toy! He's full on sprawled out.  Love it!
